八十年代末，云南山区里，八岁的小男孩王平因为父亲的一个承诺，坚信远在大城市里的父亲看到他放的风筝就会回来。为了让父亲回来，他渴望得到一个红蜻蜓风筝。他付出了很多努力最终得到了这个风筝。然而当他把风筝放起来，风筝线意外断了，风筝飞走了。

In the late 1980s,a eight-year-old boy,Wang Ping, who lived in a mountainous area of Yunnan believed that his father would return home as long as his father saw the kite he flew,because of his father’s promise.To make his father come back,he desired a red dragonfly kite.He paid a lot of efforts to get the red dragonfly kite.But when he flew the kite up,the kite line broke,and the kite flew away.
