The young Pinger gets fascinated by Sichuan opera's face changing after he came across Wang Zhuo, the master of face changing, when hanging out on the street. He sticks to the master and learns from him every day. Ten years later, Pinger is finally able to perform on her own. However, at a time of social turbulence and with the death of the master, Sichuan opera becomes obsolete and no one wants to see it. Facing the ever-changing world, Pinger develops courage from fear and inherits his favorite Sichuan opera.
