晋剧是山西梆子，是中国北方的一个重要戏剧剧种，是中国传统戏剧。本片作者将镜头对准了山西省沁源县晋剧团。以一名晋剧徐生青年演员“二毛”为切入点，讲述了三位完全不同的青年人在戏曲道路上的追梦故事。他们对戏曲的热爱与以及生活的无奈，尽管其生于贫困但仍追求梦想的三五线小镇青年的心态。作者以青年的视角去观察当下青年。希望告诉大家在那个小城还有一群努力追梦的年轻人。

Jin opera is a clapper opera in Shanxi, an important drama in northern China, and a traditional Chinese drama. The author directed the lens to the Jin opera troupe of Qinyuan County, Shanxi province. Taking Ermao, a young actor of Jin Opera Xu Sheng, as a breakthrough point, this paper tells the story of three completely different young people pursuing their dreams on the road of opera. Their love of opera and helplessness in life, despite their poverty but still pursue the dream of the 35-line town of youth mentality. The author looks at young people from the perspective of youth.
