年末岁尾，听从爷爷遗愿去当兵的小镇青年王出息在退伍后面对生活一片茫然，而在KTV做陪唱的小学同学小艺提出的石家庄之行又燃起了他的激情。他挣扎在爷爷与小艺的情感里，徘徊在故乡和远方的选择间。在摆鞭炮摊被城管没收后，他决然的选择要和小艺一起离开小镇，像他爷爷说的那样，做个有出息的人。

At the end of a year,Wang Chuxi,a young man living in a small town who followed his grandpa's wish and joined the army, is confused after retirement. However, a trip to Shijiazhuang proposed by Xiaoyi who is his classmate in primary school and working in a KTV inspired his passion. He is struggling with emotions towards his grandpa and Xiaoyi, and wandering between staying at home and going out of hometown. After his stand was confiscated by urban management officers，he finally decides to leave home with Xiaoyi and becomes a promising person as expected by his grandpa.
