短片在中国典故凿壁借光的基础上进行了再创造。讲述了一个小孩儿受隔壁邻居剥削，贫困潦倒，热爱读书却又没钱买灯无法阅读。于是这个小孩借鉴了凿壁偷光的故事，在墙上凿开了一个洞。
As another creation based on the Chinese literary quotation “chiseling a hole on the wall to lend light”, the short film narrates a story that a child was exploited by his neighbor of the next door and lived an impoverished life. He loved reading, but he had no money to buy lamp, so he had no way of reading. Then the child took the story of chiseling a hole on the wall to lend light for reference, and chiseled a hole on the wall.
