本片通过记录北铁钩小学师生的生活和学习情况，展现山西南部偏远乡村的基础教育状况，通过几个留守儿童的视角，管窥晋南地区普遍存在的“小小学”现象，引发人们对乡村基础教育以及留守儿童的关注和思考。

The film is about the life and study of teachers and students in North Tie Gou Primary School, reflecting the condition of basic education of remote village in the south of Shanxi. We looked through the wildly existing small scale primary school in south of Shanxi from the aspects of left-behind children, triggering people's attention and thinking on the basic education in village and left-behind children.
