82岁的李宗旺自1997年开始在莲花山上运动，2002年的一次偶然的机会，让他在莲花山山顶看到有些人用塑料制成的水笔在地上写字了，并为自己定下了目标——写字就要写大字，越大越好。就这样，李宗旺老先生用大块海绵体和不锈钢的手把制成了自己的第一支铁笔（50斤重）就这样写了十六年，李老先生每天早上准时在山顶上用铁笔在地上书写毛主席的诗词与唐诗宋词，从未间断。在老先生家中的书房里，我们看到了这些年书写堆积的书法作品和成千上万篇文字杂烩作品，还有早年存留至今的日记本等。
Li Zongwang, 82, has been campaigning on the Lotus Mountains since 1997. In 2002, he happened to see some people writing on the ground with plastic pens on the top of the Lotus Mountains. He set himself the goal of writing big letters, the bigger the better. In this way, Mr. Li Zongwang made his first iron pen (weighing 50 jin) from a large sponge and stainless steel handlebars. He wrote Chairman Mao's poems and Tang and Song poems on the top of the mountain on time every morning, without interruption. In the study of the old gentleman's home, we saw the accumulation of calligraphy and thousands of mixed works of writing over the years, as well as the diaries of the early days.
