The trains has helped people build better cities, but as time went on, the old train was replaced by faster ones and eventually ignored at abandoned stations. One day, a boy goes to the city to look for his parents. When he enters the old train carriage to rest, the kindly old train draws the window curtain for the boy, causing indirectly the boy to miss the last train to the city that day. The old train feels guilty and wants to prove its value, so it starts the engine and sends the little boy through the old railway to the city. But they meet a broken bridge halfway, and the old train takes the boy to his parents finally by sacrificing itself.
