讲述了香港普通民众家庭传承爱国思想的真实故事。1999年香港筲箕湾，一位校长去世后，六个子女齐聚一堂，商量母亲的后事和遗产分配。母亲的一位学生突然前来祭拜，他带来母亲生前在大同小学任教的一组幻灯片。众人通过幻灯片，重温当年父母亲遵循爱国理念在香港筹办大同学校时的种种感人事迹，最后决定将母亲留下的遗产在祖国内地重新开办大同小学。

It tells the true story of Hong Kong ordinary people's family inheriting patriotic thoughts. After the death of a school principal in shau kei wan, Hong Kong, in 1999, six children gathered to discuss their mothers' affairs and estate distribution. One of the mother's students came out of nowhere to worship, bringing with him a set of slides from the school where her mother had been teaching. Through the slideshow, many people recalled the touching stories of their parents when they organized the datong school in Hong Kong in accordance with the patriotic idea, and finally decided to reopen the datong primary school in the mainland of China.
