六旬美国大爷Jeremy，退休后远渡重洋来中国学习汉语圆年轻时的梦，在中国四川求学的路上不但学会了汉语，同时还收获了一份真挚的异国爱情。 本片分为上下两部，上部讲述Jeremy学习汉语，下部讲述他与妻子梅莉的感情生活。

Jeremy, an American grandfather, travelled across the oceans to China to study Chinese after retirement in order to realize his youth dream. He not only learns Chinese on his way to study in Sichuan, China, but also has got a sincere exotic love. This film consists of two parts. The first part tells about Jeremy's learning Chinese and the second part about his emotional life with his wife Melly.
